Exactly, it would be a massive clusterfuck of people shooting zombies, no matter what somebody has your back..until a stray shot kills you.

Me and my friend have this game I'm sure a lot of people do where when you walk in a room you pick out where you would first go in the event of a zombie attack.

Since it's dead, it can't feel pain. It probably would just fall back down. But if you just didn't do anything at all it would fall back down too.
