Actually, the independent clause doesn't have to be separated by a comma, it is fine, if he were to combine them into one sentence however, it would be with a semicolon. I'm not sure about 'cause though, I think it is okay, but don't count me on it. Yeah, don't ever capitalize music unless it suddenly became a proper noun when I wasn't looking.
