Mutiny Within are trying to get core fans into power metal. There's sorta these bridge bands with metalcore, it's interesting. Mutiny Within and power, Between the Buried and Me with prog, a lot of deathcore with death, Abigail Williams with black. They do it to try and be original, but it never works.
