That isn't my objection either... they are huge right now and blew up after Time is Up was released. 2 years ago they played at Reggie's to 12 people and headlined... they open for Forbidden last week and after they ended, significant portions of the crowd started leaving.
Its not like theyre signed to nuclear blast or metal blade. Most people I know dont know them. And the opening slot on a Forbidden tour doesnt exactly constitute mainstream status amirite?
Besides, being underground and being signed really arent related. Otherwise this should just be called the local band reccomendation thread.

They've been on a few tours opening over the last, but no that doesn't qualify mainstream, nor was it the point I was making with comparison of a few years of their recent history. I still believe underground is a stretch. In the last 9-12 months they've managed to become a essential top 3 of "new wave thrash" band to like, at least what I've gathered from message boards, facebook, and even from impressions I got from chatting with them last week over a few beers.
Before I end retort... I see them becoming the new Warbringer in terms of them being on every tour.
Don't get me wrong, tho. Havok is a fantastic rec for anyone who hasn't given them a proper listen. The new album was good and a step forward for them.
