Same reason they can get burnt by their heat pads (If it's not controlled by a thermostat.) and not move. They have very simple minds and live only on instinct. They don't have the brain capacity to realize if something hurts them, that they should try and stop it, they just kind of take it.
We removed the mouse after Shane stunned it and she didn't eat it for 30 minutes. She was hungry for the last mouse (the one that bit her and she rejected). So, 2 days, 2 mice. I'm gonna try again like on Saturday. Maybe she's a lil traumatized or something. If she doesn't eat Saturday I will contact the snake guy I got her from. He's a rescuer so maybe he'll have tips or will be willing to meet me up somewhere. If I had to, I'd take her to his house if he thinks he can get her to eat. He was big on the whole, "If she ever refuses to eat and it becomes a concern, contact me and I'll get her to eat".
erik theyre a predator and therefore have a predator instinct of KILL EAT REPEAT i find it hard to believe that a snake would let a mouse chew on it and just sit there if they do that, i have truley found the herpderp of the animal kingdom
OK, then tell me why I go to reptile expos monthly, and have seen first hand how badly a snake can get injured and chewed on by a Rat/Mouse. They're not dumb, they just live completely on instinct and have a simple brain. They don't even have the brain capacity to possess emotions.
erik, nothing against you or anything not trying to start shit but come on, thats kinda dumb personally, if they arent capeable of emotions, i wouldnt want one as a pet i dont see the point
