But electrocuting, drowning and hanging are perfectly fine huh?

I'm not trying to spark a debate I'm going to say one thing and leave it at that. Vick is a very good athlete but I also see him as a piece of shit for what he was involved in. I think Philly is starstruck because he wins games and refuse not to believe he has changed. I don't think he has changed and is just trying to protect his image and future wealth. Whether I am wrong or right that is how I feel about it and will never support him even if he played for my team.
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!

I just don't give a shit because him killing dogs doesn't effect me personally. Sure, sucks for the dogs and it's sad but life moves on. I'm happy to watch him play football. Also, he never ran over a pitbulls head...he just did that other shit. Point is he didn't run them over as someone had stated and Shane posted an article to try and back that claim up.

I agree. OJ should be allowed to play in the NFL too. They should let Casey Anthony do the announcing too. Fuck, why dont we release every prisoner and hook them up with an NFL job? After all, none of their crimes affected me personally.

If OJ had a second chance in the NFL, I wouldn't have cared about it. He would have fucked it up anyway by actually landing in jail like he did. If Vick fucks up again, so be it. And Casey Anthony wouldn't announce, she would just suck the cock of everyone in the business. I just don't understand why any of this gets under peoples skin so much.

Michael Vick might need to call an audible.

The Eagles lightning rod, apparently unable to pass up a deal, signed "exclusive" advertising agreements with competing sports nutrition companies.

The Philadelphia Daily News reports both businesses issued statements claiming Vick was representing their products.

Vick, trying to repair his tarnished reputation after spending 21 months in prison for dog fighting, agreed to an exclusive five-year deal with Miami-based Fuse Science.

Key word here is "exclusive" -- meaning Vick, with a .597 winning percentage in the regular season and .400 in the playoffs, isn't allowed to hawk similar products from competitors.

But it looks like that didn't stop the Pro Bowl quarterback from taking a $1.55 million deal for three years from Denver-based company MusclePharm.

"That was all speculation," Liza Santana, a Fuse spokeswoman, wrote to the Philadelphia Daily News via email. "Michael's contract with Fuse is a five-year exclusive and was fully executed on July 7th. I would say that he is well aware that signing any other deals would be a breach of contract."

One difference? Vick isn't quoted in a PR release from MusclePharm. Fuse's releases has quotes from Vick about the company's "game-changing technology" and "incredible team of scientists and business leaders."

Nike welcomed Vick back as an endorser of swoosh products earlier this month. CNBC points out that he lost a $2 million endorsement deal with Nike in 2007.

the article above only mentions the incident where they sprayed the dog with water and electrocuted it. that may not be brutal enough for you guys though.

it's hard to find an article that mentions the running-over-the-dog incident, but i remember it clearly. they took the dog who had just lost a fight and stuck it's head under the wheel of a hummer and ran it over. i think i saw it on the bryant gumbel hbo special about the vick situation. i remember it because it made my mom cry. that special also showed where they had to euthanize some of his other dogs because they were a threat. but ape is right, even without that one incident he's still a monster. people can act like there's some big difference between those who hurt and abuse animals and those that hurt and abuse people. the line is basically cowardice. men who can't take out their frustrations on other men will usually take it out on an animal instead.

i wish vick would get injured or something and go away. that stupid fuckin' story was the only thing on tv down here for almost a year. i don't think i can verbalize how sickening it is that he's had one good year, and everyone jumped back on the bandwagon. every dumb thug around here thinks he's jesus. i had to quit buying weed from this dude because he went and switched from a falcons to an eagles fan because he looooooved vick. fuck people like that. he took a big shit on the city of atlanta. every time he comes back here with the eagles, he does whatever he can to show up the falcons, even though the falcons and arthur blank never did anything but support him. he deserves nobodys cheers.

plus technically did he even do any of the death acts?....its of my opinion that he just financed the whole operations....i don't see how people don't think spending 18 months in prison and having to think about your actions every day couldn't change a person

  • To my knowledge, Mike never committed any of the dog killing acts. However be did order them. I could be wrong, but I don't think animal cruelty was a charge against him, just illegal gambling. Who knows if he's really changed, but he is saying and doing the right things.
Oh, and Satan's a Falcons fan. Mike Vick is to Atlanta as TO is to Philly...
I'm going to law school, bitches!
