Do you know where they are getting the food to feed these people?? Trash cans and dumpsters... Thats the only reason the city has a problem with them feeding the homeless.. just saying I do not agree with what they are doing in arresting people.
What do you mean? They had like a gourmet buffet setup for these people, I saw the video.... Its in the other threadd about this.

Any proof? It's seems to me that these people were legitimately trying to feed the homeless with actual food. And not everyone who feeds the homeless gets it from dumpsters... my fiance and I have bought food for some homeless people many times. I understand you didn't say that everyone who feeds the homeless does it with trash, I'm just saying you don't KNOW that they did that in this case.
I promise you almost all the foods are from dumpster diving, its not "gourmet" food.. its just food that restaurants have thrown out in mass quantities and is still somewhat good to eat..
Fair enough... if food is good it's good though, it doesn't really matter where it comes from. And I would assume that it's still appreciated by the homeless... if it doesn't hurt anyone or make them sick than no harm, no foul. It's still an altruistic gesture.

Thats how I feel.. But obviously the city does not want to be responsible for someone getting a rotten peice of fruit or something.. Like I said I somewhat understand why they dont want people to do it.. but they shouldnt arrest people for it
Seems to me that the city passed the ordinance because they didn't like homeless people in their parks... anyways I think it's wrong to arrest people for that
H/o I'll bump the thread wirth the video... The food doesn't look like trash...
of course it doesnt look like trash dude.. but where do you think they are getting the food from?? people are not going out and buying "gourmet" food to give to the homeless..
I can see the reasoning behind the law (prevent homeless from gathering in parks), but simply banning feeding them is probably a horrible solution. Make an alternative, like a place where they can go to get fed this way. Fire two cops, use salary to build large area with tables, chairs, roof. Solved.
how? I have seen that episode multiple times and thats exactly what they do.. and multiple times during the episode they mention how they are doing the exact same thing in Orlando but they are getting in trouble for it..
