I think Camden does have a pit. But I've heard that PNC is better and it's definitely in a better location than Camden.
The overall area sure but the mile block around the venue isn't so bad. There's a parking garage right across the street from it and it right next to a tourist spot, the Battleship NJ
i went to see godsmack back in october in camden. i like PNC better. IMO PNC is bigger but the pavillion part of the camden venue was closed off to make it an indoor venue cause it was october so i didnt see what the grass section looked like but PNC still looks bigger to me. i go to PNC all the time.

What is the area for the side stages like? Is it a paved lot or is it just dirt?
Camden has a better sound system(i been to both multiple times), and if you drive, you will be parking in the lot right next to the venue, so you dont have to worry about the area. I take the train most of the time, so I have to walk a little through the ghetto, but the most I've ever been bothered is bums asking for change and shit. the road where the transportaion center and venue is heavily patroled by police, no worries. I dodnt even knwo PNC didnt have a pit area <_> anyway, getting out of PNC is horrendous cause theres one way in and one way out. youre stuck in traffick for over an hr... CMD, theres multiple ways to go. and also for the side stages in cmaden its in a nice open area parkinglot with alot of room to move around and shit, at the PNC, its all jammed into one area with the stages facing eachother and no room to walk or anything. CMD is better. Britt will agree to this also. Skully just has a PNC boner for some reason :>
For me, the main issue with Camden is the distance away from me. Holmdel is much closer.
George, as far as the side stage pit, is the parking lot paved? (at both, I mean)
I'm trying to be able to have my girlfriend go because she really wants to go. But she has an eye issue and she can't go to Hartford (where we usually go) because the side stage lot is all dirt. So when moshing starts, the dust clouds go up and it gets into her eyes which is the worst thing she could have. So if I could find a venue that is decently close with a paved lot for the side stages then it would be great.
whats the girls said, its paved and on a huge parking lot unlike PNC. in CMD you can walk around and get out of the mob causes its a bigger area, at PNC, its jammed in this real small spot... take her to CMD. you'll have a better time. the biggest thing for me iss imo the sound is better, at PNC, the mainstage is very low volume, we could talk over the bands without even yelling last year. and the traffic thing... fuck being stuck in hrs worth of traffic...

Is PNC's side stages paved? It's only 1.5 hours away so it may be doable.
and Britt and myself will be there!! :>
