When APC started, Maynard said it was his feminine side and wore girl wigs on stage the first few tours. Mer de Noms was kinda aimed for radio play, but Thirteenth Step is moody and more progressive. The Package alone makes the entire album worthwhile. I like it better than Tool's last 2 albums because it's not just a bunch of riffs played over and over ad nauseum
