Even though SS existed before Slipknot, they would not currently still exist without them. Jim Root, whom imo is the actual talent behind slipknot, even got tired of SS. But like you said, it's just a corey taylor name drop.
Yeah dude that EP was shit. Plus I heard they were supposed to release like 4 eps with different styles of something this year and that's the only that dropped.
