only one track in. Not feeling the clean vocals at all. Riffs are pretty good but I don't understand how somebody could like this and not dig JFAC. There's some striking similarities.
Did you listen to their last record? I mean, its not exactly new territory at this point. I really dig the clean vocals. Thing is they're not even clean. They're a really unique high scream.
I wasn't huge on some of the vocals from their last album. I don't even know how to describe it, I wouldn't necessarily call them clean vocals. Like the hook to A Living, Breathing Piece of Defecating Meat. Sounded like one of the dudes from the lollipop guild.
I didn't. I've listened to some of their older material from To Serve Man and Humanure but I won't act like I'm an expert on Cattle Decap. It's not bad but it's not really grabbing me. Only reason I have this album is because I got the promo through the radio station i'm a part of and am reviewing it for air play. and I guess calling them clean is a little bit of stretch but they're a lot more discernible than the growls. It reminds of somebody going for The Sound Of Perseverance era Chuck Schuldiner vocals but not quit hitting it. I personally don't like the way they sound.
Demonacracy was prolly the worst JFAC release and I still fuck wit it.
Doom annoys the hell out of me. Pig squeals and constant breakdowns
not even. I barely consider the "breakdowns" on the EP to be actual breakdowns. they're more like slams than anything. It's not like they ever go single not chug breakdowns like Suicide Silence or Whitechapel. I can understand the pig squeals, but Doom has riffs.
