I don't think you can compare an earthquake and a tornado on the "Which is scarier" factor... On one hand, if you're in an open area, an earthquake won't do a damn thing to you. A tornado will fuck you up wherever you are whenever if feels like it. And you never know where they're going to touchdown.. When we had ours, there were over 70 possible funnel clouds between here and Michigan, and you couldn't tell which would become a tornado and which wouldn't.
But when is the last time a tornado single handedly fucked up an entire country?
i've been through 1 hurricane (the remnants of one anyway) .... last year driving back from D.C. to N. Carolina.
i had taken some sleeping pills when we took off from DC and when i woke up it was LITERALLY raining the hardest i have ever witnessed..... tbh, i nearly pissed my pants
We got a tornado watch and while I was out driving around the storm center kept coming on. Saw a few clouds start forming but I wasn't bothered. What did bother me was the kitchen sink that came flying out in front of Shane's car. Apparently I was driving through some rubble that was getting blown around from trailers coming apart.
