Aww. R.I.P. Wingz. Drafts can also kill birds. I have 3 Cockatiels, and they're a lot more hardy than Parakeets. I've had them since 4th or 5th Grade with no health problems other than an injured wing like 2 or 3 years ago. But both of my Parakeets died within a year. Died suddenly like yours, because they showed no signs of illness at all. Just woke up to find one dead one morning, and the other died within a week.
RIP Wingz - Sorry to hear about this bad news, Shane and Judy My dog is getting older and she doesn't have many years left. I frequently look at her and get a bit sad because I know in the near future I'm going to have to see her pass away and that fucking blows
