The remaining members of Sublime have reached an agreement with the estate of late frontman Bradley Nowell and will tour under the new name Sublime With Rome.
Administrators of Nowell's estate filed an injunction against former Sublime members Eric Wilson and Floyd "Bud" Gaugh when they tried to reform for a show last November, claiming that the show violated ownership rights of the Sublime name.
The two parties have now agreed that the band may use the name "Sublime" with the addition of the words "with Rome," a reference to their new frontman Rome Ramirez.
"Prior to his untimely passing, both Bud and Eric acknowledged that Brad Nowell was the sole owner of the name Sublime," a Nowell family representative posted on MySpace after filing the injunction last fall. "It was Brad's expressed intention that no one use the name Sublime in any group that did not include him, and Brad even registered the trademark 'Sublime' under his own name."
Sublime With Rome is reportedly planning to hit the road soon for a 150-date tour.
