The original Halloween is a horror classic.
So is TCSM. I agree Halloween is a must watch, but if I was recommending classic horror movies to my kids, TCSM is going to be higher on that list then Halloween.

Im not a fan of the shining at all, from a horror film perspective. I would add it to a must watch horror movie list, but I don't think there is much value there except pop culture trivia. I'd say both Halloween and TCSM are better then The Shining. The Shining didnt scare me.
