How easy is it to find....

A) a person's IP address
B) trace the IP address back to said person once found.

I'm talking like through facebook or something.

    I'm just asking because there is a fake looking profile that keeps friend requesting me, and I'm pretty sure it's someone that I know, but they are just using a fake profile to spy on me. Just wondering if there is anyway to find it out.

    Facebook itself will not help you. You can always trick them into revealing it to you though. Friend them, then talk to them. Link them an image which is hosted on a system you control, or have access to. Their IP will be in the logs.

    Yeah I think I do, but I don't think I want to friend the person because I don't want them spying on me. I'll have to think about it. Thanks guys!

If so... just send them a message "hey (insert name). do you remember the time when we were here (insert picture link that will tell you their IP address) it has to be one that no one else knows about. The first IP to show up and you got them.... Then you can reverse look up their shit.

    i wouldn't go by the ip address. i would friend them and look on their info page. on there, they have the email address used to set up an account, and sometimes a phone number....

    no. unless you can hack their ISP. haha.

    but you can tell what area of the country they are coming from. So like if the person is pretending to be your old friend Jim in California, but it is really your ex-gf pretending to be Jim living in detroit.... BUSTED.

    you mean a reverse IP lookup? What is the site? yeah a lot of times when you connect to like gmail or something, the server you are connecting too is in ny or something so then it gets harder.
