The idea is if you have something going on, you can post it here to get advice instead of going to the dr because doctors bring the suck. fuck them. anyways... Ill start.

So a couple of months ago I noticed I had this thing on my eye lid. I went to the eye doctor a month ago and he was like "oohh you have a skin tab on your eye lid" "uhhh what the fuck is it?!" "nothing... just a skin growth. nothing to worry about. you dont need to go to the doctor to get it removed. its fine as is". Anyways, last night I took my finger nails and clipped it off. Hurt like a mother fucker too (eye lids are sensitive apparently). anyways.... good idea? bad idea? is that something I probably shouldnt have done and now I should go to an actual dr?

You have to be careful with skin tabs, because if they aren't removed correctly they can get infected. Your finger nails are not the cleanest thing to remove a skin tab with. I hope you used peroxide or alcohol to clean it afterwards.

I had a buddy remove one on his neck the same way and it became infected and ended up costing him a fuckton of money to treat it.

Well shit. I did take a shower before I removed it. And no I havent used peroxide. It has been about 12 hours now and it looks pretty normal (ie.. not infected). What should I look out for now that it is gone and been 12 hours? (ie... what are the signs of infection?)

Signs of infection would be obvious bro. Redness, swelling, oozing wound, etc. Most of the time skin tabs aren't much to worry about. The older you get the more of 'em you'll discover on various body parts. I get 'em on my upper arms and arm pit area. Cut 'em off and wait for 'em to come back. It's a free game that comes with being an old man. Hahaha

cool. yeah I realize that shit comes with age and I really am not that vain to care that much... but this instance was kinda bullshit. It was on my eye lid and bugged the fuck out of me when I rubbed my eyes. it had to go. any other place besides my face and I wouldnt touch.

Yeah I wouldn't remove skin tabs by myself

I gotz a blister on my foot from new shoes. anything good I can put on it to make it heal quicker?

hmmm... did you already rip the skin off? If so then neosporin that shit. If not, rip it off and then neosporin that shit.

Note - you might want to listen to others before following my advice. I'm obviously not the greatest at giving medical advice RE : just ripped off shit from my eyelid with my fingers.

come to think of it..........I had a tiny piece of loose skin in my armpit area. I've had it since I was little. (it was my only imperfection). Anyway, last year the thing turned black and started hurting so I went to a dermatologist and she basically just put peroxide on it and cut it off with surgical scissors

The best way to get rid of skin tabs, is to tie a small string around them as tight as you can and leave it there. The string will cut the blood flow going to the tab and the tab will eventually die. Once it does you will feel that it's a little hard, then all you have to do is pull it off and BAM! no more. Pulling off part doesn't hurt, but the string part might pinch like an ant bite or something.
