i am download that cd right now
Most non-Boston metalheads probably never heard of both bands. neither got very big outside boston
show was awesome!!!! My first time to Club Whiplash since the remodel. They did a great job with it. The place was packed, fit about 200 people, mostly aging rockers, average age of about 40. Crowd was very energenic, and was really into the music. Saw a few different people get kicked out by security, which was also made up of aging rockers. i was in the pit for the entire 5 hours of the show, which was pretty impressive for me. i didn't leave to piss or anything. Didnt want to lose my spot
1. Mob Hit - opening band. Were a hardcore punk type band, sounded OK. Crowd dug em
2. Ravage - My first time seeing, or hearing, them Liked them enough to buy a CD on the way out. reminded me of a Dianno era Maiden. Covered the Priest song Night Crawler
3. Steel Assassin - celebrated the 25th anniversary of the band. Sounded incredible. They played their new CD in its entirety, which i bought at the show. Very good power metal band, never really understood why they never caught on outside Boston
4. Meliah Rage - AWESOME!!!! Better than i expected. Band sounded incredible, kept the crowd really into it. Opened with Solitary Solitude, ended with Enter The Darkness, playing a thrashing hour and a half set. Played most of their new album Masquarade. Couple of funny things during set, a punk started hard core dancing and got kicked out, and the drummer threw a stick into the crowd and the person that caught it threw it back.
