I knew the snare was annoying but shit, I didn't think it detracted that much. Whatever....

It's not like I'm making money off of these demos.

the snare wasn't the fault with the drums... yea, they were near st, anger levels. but whateva.... its a demo.

i was the recycled punk beats that were used (beating on a dead horse, i know...... but just saying)

Yeah, we'll worry about the drums once my friend is actually playing them. At the moment I just wanted to have recordings so people could hear what we sound like and so my band can learn the music.

    Goddamn, haters gonna hate.

I found the snare annoying as well, but didn't find it to take away from the song all that much, I loved it.

The trouble I'm having with recording is syncing up parts in audacity. I record guitar then bass and it's hard to match them up perfectly. Also I'm not sure how I'll add backing vocals to only certain parts of songs with audacity

Create a click track, then delete after recording. Shit is a life saver.

Digitech RP350 into computer via USB for guitar and bass

Shitty little computer mic for vocals

Ohh like a metronome. Is that something I would record and listen to while I record guitars?
  • BrianBrian Posts: 17,611 destroyer of motherfuckers
You don't record it. You just listen to it as you play.

In Audacity, create a click track for any length (I usually try to make it like 8 minutes just so I know I have enough. Then, while you record, it'll play the track for you. It really helps dude.
