A cancer patient in Montana -- identified only as L.K. -- refused to undergo a hysterectomy as treatment for her cancer on the grounds that she is deeply religious and wants to have children. That's sad enough in it's own right. But no one could have foreseen what happened next: A judge found her "mentally incompetent" based on her "delusional religious beliefs" and ruled she was to have the procedure.
Wow. its crazy what some people believe. i think the judge did the right thing though. but he could've have worded it better then "mentally incompetent" and "delusional religous beliefs", but he still saved her life so i side with him on that one.

thats a good point. even if she managed to stay alive long enough to have kids chances are she wouldn't be around to see them grow up. and the kids would grow up without their birth mother.
