So... what is this? Whenever I try to go straight to mayhemforums.vanillaforums.com that's what it tells me. I had to enter the url for mayhemforums.vanillaforums.com/discussions to get here.
Someone (I won't name names...) committed a bullshit query to the code which was causing page loads to take 15+ seconds. We initially thought it was just a database contention issue, so I decided to perform an internal storage engine migration on your database. Due to the fact that you people post like rabbits, this took a billion years because the tables were huge.
The site was inaccessible during the update anyway because the DB was locked, so I just shut down the servers. This caused you to see that pretty "Over Capacity" screen instead of the site just sitting there not loading.
Once the migration was completed, the problem was still there so I searched deeper. Found the issue with the bullshit query. During this time I had rolled back the code on one of your servers and brought it back up, so you were still able to use the site. I've since patched the issue and we're working on a more permanent fix.
Side note: I had to disable some plugins temporarily to get things working, but I'm turning them on again now.

Well a pretty neat feature got added (we call them 'growls'). Then we thought it would be cool to make them just a little bit better. That improvement required a new query. The query works, but its slow as *fuck*. It only really becomes obvious when there is a lot of activity though, so its not immediately apparent on an empty test site.

Noone's fault, really, but still annoying.
