Lol, don't be ignorant. Rap has it's own breed of talent just like Metal does. It's not as simple as pressing buttons on a synthesizer. Now, I'm not defending all Rap, because most commercial Rap like Soulja Boy is absolute garbage, but what Tyler does is pure talent. And if you can't admit that, you're not a true Music fan. There's a reason most Rappers don't make their own beats and only Rap, it's not simple to make one, not only that, but it's not simple to make a GOOD one. That's like telling a Vocalist to write the Drum track for a song, EXACT same concept. However, Tyler raps, and is a lyrical genius, and is his own producer, he makes all of his own beats as well as raps. He also makes a lot of the beats for other OFWGKTA members. He produced most of Earl's album, EARL.
Don't put Music in a box like that. Same can be said for most Metal, it's a bland and repetitive genre, and repeatedly tremolo picking or blasting, only goes so far and only takes a certain amount of talent.
Take this for instance, extremely simple on every instrument, yet it shows way more talent than any Amon Amarth song, amazing song writing at it's finest. You can be an amazing MUSICIAN, but still be a terrible/bland song writer.
