Not everyone likes logical games. I personally enjoy adventure games where I train strange creatures to kill other strange creatures. B-)
I didnt say everyone had to like logic games.... I just said I do. which is why I am not that big of a fan of pokemon.
I liked plants verses zombies... and I like zelda games... and I love the professor layton and pheonix wright series. Not saying you have to like those or that those are better then the games you like, just saying that is what I enjoy.

Beating the main story doesn't take more than that, but when you start to battle online and competitively and other side quests, you have to know how to raise your Pokemon and stuff properly. There's plenty of strategy in that, like what moves to teach each Pokemon.
yeah I guess that is true. I keep thinking that there has to be some sweet spot of moves to teach my pokemon. The ultimate combo that would make me completely invincible but be able to kill any trainer I face. I think it is possible, and I have ideas on how to get there... but havent pieced that whole thing together.
Hp ev trained Snorlax that knows belly drum and rest.

The Phoenix Wright series is one of my favorite game series. Never gets old.
yeah... really fun. I wish that their AI was a little better. I have found myself finding problems in their testimony but it wont let me call them on that bullshit until I uncover a bigger piece of evidence. Its a great game, but I wish it had a tad more flexibility.

what does that do?
Well Snorlax already has a ton of hp, so hp ev training it will give it an absurd amount. Then using belly drum to maximize its attack and rest to heal when needed makes it pretty damn difficult to beat.

curious... couldnt you just get any old pokemon, get him to level 100, and then keep feeding him HP ups that can be bought for 9800 dollars to get the HP to level 999?

Maybe in Red/Blue, but after that they put limits on how many of those stat raising items you can use.

In Ruby I ev trained my Aggron's Sp. Attack until I used all my ev points, then started using calcium or whatever that boosts Sp. attack until they didn't work anymore. Ended up being my strongest pokemon even though it was a lower level than most of my others.
she said it was 'detailed' enough i had to write the speech with the idea that no one in the class has any idea what pokemon is i would have to explain the levels, battles and everything else when that would be going off topic
