Well, it differs depending on where you want to be...like rail, a row or so back from rail, pit, in the back, or on a balcany if they have any. If you're on rail then watch for crowd surfers and pay attentiom to security. If they get up and move your way a surfer is coming towards you. You should also expect some shoving forward from the pit behind you. If you chose pit then you know what you're getting into and if you're in the back then it should be fairly quiet.
All clubs are different. Like Peabody's in Cleveland and the White Rabbit in San Antonio have no rail in front of the stage, so you get a lot of stage divers you gotta look out for. While others always have a rail. I prefer small venues over all others
Yeah I wold like to get up close as possible for DevilDriver and yes I have had a crowd surfer fall on me at at Killswitch Engage one time it hurt but I think he was hurting a little more than I was. I will more than likely not go into the pit during DevilDriver because I like to watch the band I am going to see so no Pit trouble for me.
Well,.just watch out for crowd surfers by paying attention to security if the place has a barrior. If it doesn't and you're against the stage, watch out for stage divers and crowd surfers...but you won't have security to look for for a heads up. Pushing is gonna happen but that's about it from the rail
