A former assistant track coach at Grayslake Central High School was ordered held on $250,000 bond Tuesday after being accused of molesting a student at the school.
Lake County Assistant State’s Attorney Patricia Fix said Tony Hsieh, 28, of Buffalo Grove is charged with two counts of criminal sexual assault and four counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse.

Fix said Hsieh, who is currently a teacher at Round Lake Middle School and a track coach at Round Lake High School, is charged with molesting a 16-year-old female member of the GCHS track team.
A news release from GCHS said officials there were cooperating with the police investigation and the state’s attorney’s office.
Fix said Hsieh, of the 200 block of Old Oak Court West, sent the girl a series of text messages beginning in August that initially involved information about summer workouts but grew increasingly personal in nature.
He also bought the girl a series of gifts including T-shirts, backpacks and running shoes, Fix said.
Hsieh arranged for the girl to meet him in the parking lot of the College of Lake County in Grayslake sometime near the end of September, Fix said, and molested her in his car.
The girl informed school officials, Fix said, who contacted the state Department of Children and Family Services who in turn contacted Grayslake police.
Grayslake police questioned Hsieh about the accusations on Monday, Fix said, but he refused to answer any questions about physical contact with the girl.
Round Lake school officials could not be reached for comment. No response from the state’s attorneys as to his history at Grayslake Central.
Associate Judge Raymond Collins set bond for Hsieh at a hearing Tuesday morning for a bond hearing and told him to return to court Feb. 10 to report on his progress in hiring a lawyer.
Fix said Hsieh is barred from having any unsupervised contact with anyone under the age of 17 while on bond and faces up to 15 years in prison if convicted.
