yea, the gov shut down all phone lines and internet there as well, so no contact. my friend's dad is in Egypt right now.

To add to that, all of the cops have picked up and left. The military is trying to take control but to no avail. Despite all that, according to people in the country, the protests have yet to turn to riots.
