I would go if all main stage openers were at the show closes to me, but they won be. the two headliners suck ass besides that it's not that bad. though ive never heard of red fang.

They will be. The two bands that don't open the main stage headline the side stages.
technically though Trivium could still make it here... counting for Time zone changes, and that Wacken is all day. If Trivium plays early on Wacken, they could make it back here for mainstage time....
Wacken is August 4-6. There is no Mayhem date on August 4. Since the main page says nothing about Trivium missing a date, common sense would tell us they are playing Wacken on the 4th and coming back in time to play Chicago on the 5th.
Also, Machine Head's announcement shed some light on the sidestage rotation....
"As part of a rotating slot, Machine Head will be opening the Main Stage for the first 9 shows, including their hometown stop in the Bay Area at the Shoreline Amphitheatre on July 10th, and then will be headlining the Extreme Stage for the remaining 17 shows."

So there you go.
but on Trivium's website it has August 5th as their Wacken day. I hope your right though
and you get an early entrance pass or is that extra?
I don't think that was an option, unless it was and I don't remember. Everyone just waited outside the pit gate to get in and no one went in early so I doubt there is such a thing.
Comments
i'd be happy with them
