um thats not a very good idea because the only threads that are in the games category are the ones Mike moved there manually. no one will use it. good concept thou.
yep. If there was a "cool people only" category, I'd still only post in general and I am like the fonz. B-)
Any mod that unbans a permban without Admin approval will lose their powers.
uh...i thought the rule was the only person that can undo a permaban is the mod that enforced the permaban. So you are basically saying if i permanban someone, one of the admins can undo what i've done without talking to me first
From what I understand, the goal is to prevent actions being taken that don't involve the whole team.
If you re read what was written, the rule doesn't say admins can undo the actions of a mod (though as admins, they can), it says that before removing a permaban (in other words, making an exception for someone), a mod must discuss it with an admin at least, and preferably THE OTHER MODS.
The rule was made to prevent banned users from being able to whine and bitch to mods until they are pressured into lifting the ban. It was also influenced by the puzzling and INFURIATING habit that the mods have of taking actions and then telling absolutely nobody. We still don't know who banned Sheepz (which is bullshit).
its not butthurt...i'm questioning to try to clarify. usually when there is something that affects the mods, we get pm'd. we didnt this time.
i think the reason for this is that Tim banned Erik. i don't plan to unban him so this isnt an issue for me. i dont want this to turn into me banning someone, then someone else unbanning that person without discussing it with me first. kinda makes the mods job even more pointless
What's nice about a rule like this is that it makes it harder for a person to guilt or nag a mod into letting them back in, because it makes the decision to unban someone require multiple people's agreement.
