Vince Neil to serve 15 days in jail for DUI

According to KTNV.com, MÖTLEY CRÜE singer Vince Neil will plead guilty to a drunken driving charge on January 26 and spend two weeks in a Las Vegas jail. He will surrender on February 15 and will serve 15 days in the Clark County Detention Center, followed by another 15 days of house arrest.

"I have recognized that you can't drink and drive at all," Neil said in a statement released Tuesday. "I take full responsibility for my actions and will learn from this experience."

Neil failed three field sobriety tests and had a blood-alcohol level almost three times the legal limit during his June 27, 2010 Las Vegas arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.

In an interview conducted two days after arrest, Neil admitted he was drinking and said, "I shouldn't have been driving. I should have gotten a limo from the Hilton."

Vince was previously arrested in 2007 for suspected DUI but worked out a deal in which he pleaded no contest to reckless driving in exchange for having the DUI charge dropped, according to TMZ.com.

Nevada state law says that people convicted of DUI twice within seven years face anywhere from 10 days to six months in jail.

Neil was sentenced to 30 days in jail and five years probation in 1984 after an accident in which he crashed his car, killing passenger Nicholas "Razzle" Dingley of the band HANOI ROCKS. Neil was driving under the influence at that time.

Neil also pleaded no contest to a charge of assaulting a music producer in 2002, and again pleaded no contest in 2003 to charges he attacked a prostitute at the Moonlight Bunny Ranch in Nevada. In 2004, an arrest warrant was issued after he allegedly hit a sound engineer at a show in Texas.






This douchebag should be in prison. Regular folks like us would have already been sentenced to prison.

    Nevada laws are less than most of the country, and his big thing he did was in 1984 when the laws were light everywhere, it wasnt money that got him out of it, it was time and place, if he had killed his friend now, he would be in prison for 5-20 years.

    I know right, they didnt crack down on drinking and driving till the mid 90's... all the men back in the day were used to getting a slap on the wrist for it.... I know my grandpa was picked up tons and tons of times, and he was like the golden boy of my city, tons of sports tropheys, MVP's, DPOY's, olympic metals everything, wasnt untill 94 till he finally got in some big trouble and quit it, when the rules change its not always immediate that everybody adapts.

    The funniest part of my grandpa gettin in trouble 94, he had to be on the ankle bracelet for a year, and he was already retired so no work release, he was stuck in the house, so he was so grumpy, we called him mister grumps. My grandma was telling me how he would always complain he couldnt even walk to the mailbox, and she would always tell him, well you did this to yourself mister, and lecture him, and he would always walk away like bleh bleh, live me alone... it was so funny, he was really depressed during a long time period, but I remember the last few years he was alive, he was just the happiest guy alive, and was just so nice and loving to everybody, I really look up to him.

    pfft bs, she gave him a BJ in the bathroom, he didnt force it, she made a decision when she was drunk, and she should live with it just like any guy has to, he didnt force it on her, she just cried foul after she realized she could get money and some 15 mins out of it.
