We have an annual holiday called Waitangi Day in Feb.It's to commemorate when the English landed in NZ and the Maori decided to trade their land for blankets, muskets, booze and tobacco.
Over 100 years later they are still wanting our blankets, booze and tobacco but they now want their land back so the government are paying their tribes millions of dollars and giving them the ocean and shitloads of forestry to compensate them for their loss.....

Although having said that NZD $1 = USD $0.77 at the moment which is a pretty good exchange rate for us.....
