i used to think folk metal was dumb, but since i started listening to Swashbuckle (they're not folk metal, they're pirate metal i guess) i've been more open to folk metal. and now, both Swashbuckle and folk metal put a smile on my face while im headbanging lol. the first time i heard swashbuckle (their lyrics are all about pirates) i couldn't stop laughing and headbanging at the same time.

Eluveitie, Arafel, and Korpiklaani are my top three folk metal bands. Ensifernum, Turisas, Alestorm, Furor Gallico, Finntroll... and just about EVERY other folk metal band is awsome too
