I listen to some electronic/dubstep/drum and bass whatever music, not exactly sure what it is classified as. I'd like Deadmau5 more if it weren't for every song being 6+ minutes because after so long, it becomes toooooo repetitive. A great album from this year is Chase & Status. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BaAqSpKaf7w&feature=fvst
The Rebecca Black dubstep remix is like retardedly attempted dubstep overkill. Although I can't say I know much about it, I'm just pretty sure it doesn't all sound like that.
Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor was recently interviewed by NoiseCreep.com about new material the band is working on:
“It doesn’t seem as proggy. There’s moments, but it seems more riff-oriented. It seems a little more stripped down. [2004's] ‘Leviathan‘ was a little more stripped down, and it feels like that to me. Everything always changes once you go in the studio, but at the moment it seems like a really super-heavy Led Zeppelin or something. It has a lot of that [John] Bonham-esque groove to it, but really heavy and dark. I really like playing like that, and when it goes into those parts, I’m psyched.”
As Blood Runs Black - Instinct Artas - Riotology Abysmal Dawn - Leveling The Plane of Existence Before The Dawn - Deathstar Rising Obscura - Omnivium Darkest Hour - The Human Romance After The Burial - In Dreams Havok - Time Is Up DevilDriver - Beast Full Blown Chaos - Full Blown Chaos Children of Bodom - Relentless Reckless Forever Born of Osiris - The Discovery
The ones that havent been release yet but im sure are awesome:
The Haunted - Unseen (im not sure if this one was released yet or not) Winds of Plague - Against The World In Flames - The Sounds of a Playground Fading Book of Black Earth - The Cold Testament Novembers Doom - Aphotic Blackguard - Firefight
"That's another thing I love about metal, it's so fuckin' huge yet certain people don't even know it exists." - Rob Zombie
