Honestly im not sure what is real and what wasnt... What I know about it is this- They claim that to documentary was "based" on some facts. Which ones? Like did they really find that knife in the shark? That one seemed like the biggest piece of real evidence. Was that real? im not sure... But What I do know is that everyone on that show was a paid actor, reading from a written script. There was no real footage, it was all "recreated".

No. It's a docufiction. The whole thing is made to look 100% real, but is ultimately entertainment only. Those "NOAA workers" never worked for NOAA at all. They're actors.

I believe the only real thing in the movie was the sonar tests the NAVY did that caused the whale beachings, but no, no mermaids were beached along wit the whales.

I do give 'em credit doe. Dope ass movie. Had a nigga believing for a while. Everything in there was the most logical reasoning for proving mermaids exist, it really did all add up. But yea, it's 100% a docufiction.
