i don't understand how it works but once he signs with the red wings he goes through waivers and other teams have a chance to pick him up at the same price. it makes absolutely no fucking sense to me but i'm sure there are a few teams that would take a low cap hit if it meant keeping him off the red wings

How does it make no sense? He isn't playing anywhere and Ozzie isn't coming back anytime soon. It's a great signing if we get him.

Also, he hasn't been signed, but we have talked to his agent.

no what i dont understand is why if he signs with Detroit he has to clear waivers first giving any team with a lower ranking then the red wings a chance to pretty much steal him away from them
