I wouldn't laugh if I were you. The Sharks are gaining ground and have games in hand. That 3rd spot in the West might not be held by the Starz for much longer.
Pissed about that last sequence that cost us the game, and really, really worried about Helm. I hope it's not as bad as it looked or we're in deep shit.
I wouldn't overlook a team that's been to the conference finals the last two years....they've been in a slump, but they're getting hot again. You're not getting a favorable matchup if you draw them.
Not overlooking them, but I would rather have to play them over a team like Nashville or Phoenix, just because for whatever reason the Hawks have problems with those two teams. Although the playoffs are different
The Hawks are going to have a problem with any matchup they get. That's how good the West is. I think they can handle Dallas and Phoenix, but Nashville and San Jose are probably better teams right now, albeit by a small margin. Those will be 6 or 7 game series that could go either way.
If Toews doesn't come back, I don't like the Hawks chances anyway, but if he is playing I think they will at least be in the mix. I just don't want to have to play Nashville, hopefully you have to deal with them, because I would fear them more than anyone in the first round.
If......and that's a big if.......the Wings are healthy, I'm not overly concerned about any first round opponent we get. Nashville will be the toughest, but we can handle them at full strength. If we're not healthy, we're not going deep in the playoffs anyway.
