The Pulse of Radio reports that THEM CROOKED VULTURES apparently plan to record their second album later this year, according to a new interview with bassist John Paul Jones at Stuff.co.nz. Jones explained, "We'll do a second album this year. By the end of summer, something like that . . . We're all hard workers. In a way we need to do this for ourselves. Once we committed to it we worked as hard as a young band would, put the hours in. It's got to be good — we've got reputations to uphold more than anything else."
VULTURES singer/guitarist Josh Homme also expressed confidence in an interview with England's BBC 6 that a second album was in the cards, saying, "We love playing in this (band). We have such a good time together and it's fun and it feels like we're obligated to risk and challenge ourselves."
LED ZEPPELIN's Jones and QUEENS OF THE STONE AGE frontman Homme teamed with FOO FIGHTERS leader Dave Grohl in the new group, which released its self-titled debut disc in November after months of rumors about the act.
THEM CROOKED VULTURES will be the musical guests on this weekend's (February 6) edition of NBC's "Saturday Night Live".
I love this band.
