I've also seen many very credible Thrash bands' shirts being sold there.

    Sodom
    Nuclear Assault
    Kreator
What Hot Topic do you shop at?

Apparently, you once again think I'm lying, but the one in Gurnee Mills Mall.

I miss the old hot topic.

Speaking of Scenies, Kurt's being an absolute bro. Apparently there's this new Scenie girl at school, that is fine as Hell, and I trust his judgment on attractive girls, and he's gonna hook me up with her. Brotastic.

I asked the guy working at Hot Topic did they have any shirts that say " I cut myself" on them and he gave me the look of death.

I seriously wanted to buy that for my sister in law.

Whatever happened to the OLD hot topic?

    Those were the good days.

    *sniff*

    Good days.
hot topic was cool when I was in junior/early high school.
    now it's just overpriced-whatever-is-popular-at-the-time bullshit.
once in a while I will see something I like though.
    This (sort of)

Jesus Christ you sound like a poser Goth kid Will. -_- Hot Topic was never this amazing store. It's always been the "trendy" store that it is now. They did used to be more about Music, but that was when me and you were tikes.

You're not gonna hit a jackpot or anything lol. They only had one design of each band. Exodus being the cover of Bonded By Blood.

Maybe you were. Your 15? You would only have been like 6 or 7 when I started shopping there. And it did NOT used to be an over-blown candy-coated scenester store for you and your kind.

It USED to be more a dark, goth store with all kinds of great stuff.

ANd honestly, not trying to be a dick, I would rather be what you call a "poser goth kid" then a scenester or whatever you are. You used to be more metal than you are now. Just saying. Not trying to bash.

They used to have better shit. You wouldn't know because at the time you wouldn't have even gone into a hot topic. I used to be able to spend an easy 200-300 in there.

Dude, if I was 6 or 7, that means you were shopping at Hot Topic at 8 or 9....highly doubtful.

And what the fuck do you mean "Me and my kind"? I'm not a Scenie and I don't even go to Hot Topic anymore. It's not even Scenie, just more trendy, and they sell whatever's popular now, not just with Scenies. I'm not any "less Metal", I'm just open minded and listen to what the fuck sounds good to me, and quite frankly, I don't give a fuck about how "Metal" I am. It's not a fucking status game, and this is why I say it's hard to associate myself with Metalheads sometimes.

Well for your information, sir, I WAS shopping at hot topic when I was 9. Thats when I bought my first pair of tripp pants.
  • EpisodeEpisode Posts: 32,049 destroyer of motherfuckers
    LOL.

I'm trying to imagine a 9 year old wearing fucking Tripps....

    Lolz.

That was not a shot at you in any way, shape or form. I'm just surprised that you actually found those there. Coolest thing I've ever gotten there was the Minor Threat - Complete Discography cd. It's pretty sad, because I just went there like a week ago and they've downsized the CD section to a little 2 1/2 foot wide cabinet. Not exaggerating.
    tripp pants.
    :-))

It may seem worse to me now, but then again in 8th grade I liked bands like My Chemical Romance and such so that store did seem like the most awesome thing in the world, I go in and look at shirts and cds every once in a while, but for the most part I avoid the mall unless I am with friends or want some badass used games(Barton Creek has a kickass used games store)
