"El Dorado" -- Iron Maiden "Let The Guilt Go" -- Korn "In Your Words" -- Lamb Of God "Sudden Death" -- Megadeth "World Painted Blood" -- Slayer
Also, best hard rock "A Looking In View" -- Alice In Chains "Let Me Hear You Scream" -- Ozzy Osbourne "Black Rain" -- Soundgarden "Between The Lines" -- Stone Temple Pilots "New Fang" -- Them Crooked Vultures
and for my personal amusement Best Pop Performance By A Duo Or Group With Vocals
i dont think its as good as the old alice in chains albums but the new singer definitely does a good job
Agreed. It's not as good as the Layne version but it's awful damn close. DuVall is a fantastic singer and also brings the extra guitar element to the show. I didn't expect much when I got the CD so when I gave it a listen and discovered how good it really is I felt like I'd been given a bonus. I went in without any preconceived notions about what it was and how it should sound so I think that helped alot.
Maiden deserves the metal one. Even though it's one of the worst songs on that album, all the other songs besides Sudden Death and WPB (to an extent) suck....
Hard rock would be a tough one for me, I like all those songs.

I have my bets on Sudden Death winning because it's gotten the most publicity.
I enjoyed the whole album and think they deserve to be nominated.
