Lacerated Spleen?

My brother lacerated his spleen and is ICU. I'm waiting for my girl to get home from work so we can roll up there. Anyone every experience this or know someone who has? They said it's bleeding and theyre hoping it stops on its own, but they might have to do surgery if it doesnt. Shits got me worried, he's only 14 and he had stomach problems when he was younger, some bone poked him into the lungs and he had major surgery when he was a little kid. if anyone knows about this, just let me know whats up. thanks.

Lacerated organs usually aren't too threatening, although they can leave you inactive from strenuous activity for a while. I hope he gets better.

A kid I went to high school with died of a lacerated spleen from a 4 wheeler accident. This was in like 1990.

A friend of mine got a ruptured spleen from a line drive during a baseball game...He was out of commission for quite some time.

Just got back from the hospital. he's in a special pediatric ICU up in northern Jersey he's 14. He looks good, he was high as fuck on morphine for the pain he was talking slowww as shit, lol. he said his stomach just madd hurts. the DR said theyre just waiting to see if the bleeding stops and it's looking good, so he said that in a few days if the bleeding stops and the spleen starts to heal itself he can be released in about a week. but he can do anything near physical for about 3 months cause thats the total healing time, so no Hatebreed for him next month. i felt bad for my littler bro, he's 11, when he came in the room and seen my middle bro all hookes up to machines and Iv's and shit, he got upset and started crying. but shits looking good, i'm gonna take the drive up there tomorrow to see him again. thanks everybody for the love and good wishes!
