Santana you should seriously look into grados. The sr60i model is about 75 bucks, and the sr80i model is about 100. The only difference i have heard of is that the 80 model has more bass. Goodcans.com rates them as "their all time favorite headphones" and in Consumer reports last year the sr80i won the best headphones, and the sr60i was #2 in that category. Only problem with grado is that they don't block noise well. They are an open headphone, which allows for much much better sound, but not as much noise blocking. If you're looking strictly for noise reduction, id recommend Sennheiser HD280Pro, which i actually think are on sale on amazon for pretty cheap
"open" headphones are always going to have the sound advantage, but will never block out noise as well as "closed." By open i mean they don't have the big pads that surround your years. They just have pads that rest on your ears. Go to amazon and type in grado. Those are all open. Type sennheiser hd280pro. thats closed.
U won't be disapointed with senns. If you want a cheaper pair, check out sennheiser hd202. Not nearly as good, but they are only like 30 bucks and i think they have decent noise blocking. They are also a closed headphone.
they look kind of funny, but sound soooo much better than average headphones. Thats another reason i like grado. Theyre not so fucking big.
But as far as comfort for the senn 280s, ive heard its great even for long periods of time. My 202s are pretty comfortable. Only problem is that the pads arent big enough, so sometimes the hard part on the inside rubs against my ears. Its not bad tho. I think the 280s don't have that problem.

I prefer something I can put in my pocket easily. I'm using my iPod headphones for now, which have good sound quality, but don't block out sound and last probably a week or two.
recording studios, music engineers, shit like that. They work perfectly fine with computers and ipods and shit. Just make sure you get a set with a 1/8 inch connection (thats the little metal thing that goes into the ipod lol.) Alot of studio phones come with 1/4 inch, since thats what most studio equipment uses. I wanna say that the 280s come with a 1/8, but you might wanna confirm that. If they do come with a 1/4 you can always buy a 1/8 adapter for like 15 bucks.
Thats why studio phones are so good...they have to be good enough quality for studio use, and those fuckers are picky lol. Of course there are shitty studio phones, that a good engineer would NEVER use. Thats why you're safe with brands like grado and sennheiser. Thats the kind of equipment used in studios.

I'll check all these headphones out. Probably will be going with sennheiser cuz of the sound blockage
