Randy Moss is scheduled to fly to San Francisco on Sunday for a Monday workout for the 49ers, according to a league source.
They need him or someone desperately
All they needed was Ted Ginn healthy to be in the super bowl :P
Even tho Manning said himself he is choosing only those two. Jay <_>
If I had a dime for every report that came out claiming something and then was false, I'd have like 3 dollars. Seriously though, this is almost the exact same shit as the Favre tour. Everyone thinks they know shit until they sign, and that's on Tuesday.

I see him going to the Cardinals, and as a 49er fan, I don't give a fuck.

Stafford, Burleson, and Suh all restructured their contracts to get the Lions under the cap. Stafford and Burleson's restructuring alone saved them $10 million.

Among the coaches Peyton Manning plans to personally meet with during the next three days include Joe Philbin of the Miami Dolphins and Mike Munchak of the Tennessee Titans, according to sources.

The meetings are scheduled to be away from the teams' facilities.

Manning, a free agent, definitely will not be choosing a team by 4 p.m. Tuesday, the commencement of the new league year.

His meeting with Philbin, the Dolphins' new coach, likely will be Monday night or Tuesday morning. His meeting with Munchak is expected to take place no later than Wednesday.

Philbin will be accompanied Dolphins offensive coordinator Mike Sherman and perhaps other staff members, including general manager Jeff Ireland. Sherman was once part of the Texas A&M coaching staff as an assistant that recruited Manning out of Newman High in New Orleans. It was one of the few visits Manning made during the recruiting process in which he chose the University of Tennessee.

Munchak also will be joined by a select few Titans offensive staff assistants. Munchak, a Hall of Fame guard, was a teammate of Manning's father, Archie, during the 1982 and 1983 seasons with the Houston Oilers.

The discussions are expected to be heavily focused on both team's football concepts, schemes and personnel.

The NFL is taking away millions of dollars of salary-cap space belonging to the Dallas Cowboys and Washington Redskins for front-loading contracts during the uncapped 2010 season, according to league sources.

The salary cap is projected to be $120.6 million in 2012, but the Cowboys will lose $10 million, while the Redskins will be docked $36 million in cap space, sources said.

Dallas and Washington can split the cap loss over the 2012 and '13 seasons in whatever form they prefer, with $1.6 million each going to the other 28 NFL teams, the sources said.

The New Orleans Saints and Oakland Raiders are the only two teams that will not receive a portion of the money.

During the pre-lockout 2010 season, the collective bargaining agreement expired and the league operated without a salary cap.

According to sources, the Cowboys and Redskins took immediate cap hits during the 2010 season that normally would have been spread out over the length of the contracts, giving them an advantage that other NFL owners found unfair.

The league took an abnormally long time to release the 2012 cap number, due in part to the fact that the league was trying to decide how to handle the issues, the sources said.

According to the sources, the deductions are not termed as violations, but are part of a recent agreement the NFL and the Players Association made to raise the salary cap number while preserving benefit increases and the performance pool.

No matter where he goes he wont be there for long. Look at all the other stars in the past who left thier long time teams, and were out of the league in a few seasons:
    Joe Montana
    Jerry Rice
    Emmitt Smith
    Brett Farvre....

Im sure there are others I left out, he'll be lucky to get back to the playoffs, if he doesn't get injured.
Hines Ward left the Steelers, if he doesnt retire he'll probably be in the same boat.
The day you need a gun and don't have one, may be your last.

Small difference is nobody knows what to expect with Peyton...Most of them were in the decline of their careers.

No shit. No one is expecting 6-8 years out of him. Just a few seasons to try and win right now.
