The Green Bay Packers have reached an agreement with tight end Jermichael Finley on a two-year, $15 million deal, a league source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.
Finley posted a message on his Twitter account Wednesday night appearing to confirm that he has agreed to return to the team. Finley wrote, "I could not be happier to have the privilege of being a Packer for the next 2 yrs. Glad to be back with my team & coaches for 1 common goal."
Finley was set to become a free agent, and the team was expected to consider using the franchise tag on him.
Multiple teams already have had preliminary discussions with St. Louis about the possibility of trading for the Rams' second overall pick, according to league sources.
The Rams are willing to deal the pick for the right package, according to one source, and the chances are that St. Louis will wind up trading down.
The target at the No. 2 spot is likely Heisman Trophy-winning Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III.
A handful of teams are expected to be in the market to draft a quarterback -- the Cleveland Browns, Washington Redskins, Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks -- and any trade talks with the Rams are likely to accelerate once the free-agent quarterback market plays out and teams still have a need at the position.

The combine is fucking dumb. I'm sick of the top QB prospects not throwing, not lifting, etc.
I think they should require the QB's to throw, WR's to run, etc. if they are participating.

Pretty much all teams do that to some extent. Look at what the Colts are going to do with Peyton Manning. Look at what the Saints are about to do with that Drew Brees, Carl Nicks and Marques Colston pickle they find themselves in.

What do you think colleges hold pro days for?
Ready to see the Lions you know go through cap hell in the next 3 years? Speaking of cap retardedness, the Steelers might lose a top 5 receiver this offseason because they're fucking stupid. Thoughts?
Best combiners today IMO:
Stephen Hill Lamar Miller Joe Adams Michael Floyd
Worst:
Kendall Wright Justin Blackmon Darell Scott Mohammed Sanu

Giving Calvin an extension is the key. Once they are able to figure out his cap hit, life will be a little easier. I do think the Lions need to seriously consider the idea of trading Avril once he gets tagged. I think we have enough line depth on defense to make up for his production. I think Tulloch is a more important signing for us. I'm on the fence about Wright. I trust what Mayhew's done so far, but these are uncharted waters. I'm hoping something happens contract-wise soon, because we're not going to be players in free agency at all.
I haven't cared about any of the rumors and it has made me lol that I have heard from several different people Wallace may end up being a Bengal. Won't happen.
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!

The teams with the lowest investment with the highest probability of return will be the ones most interested in Wallace. Think Patriots, 49ers, Ravens.

See, Calvin's still on his rookie contract and he lived up to expectations really well. He was paid over 10 million a year before he was the best WR in the NFL. What do you do with that? You can't afford to have a cap hit above 13 mill at any point in the next 3 years. Suh and Stafford then wrap up about another huge chunk of your cap space. At that point, you can barely afford to keep players like Avril or Van Den Bosch. What happens if you have a break-out performer ala Victor Cruz in Pettigrew or Young also?
There's a lot to be worried about in that front office, and while I think Mayhew's done a good job getting the talent there, I'm concerned about his ability to keep it there.
Vanden Bosch isn't going to be here beyond his current contract, I believe. He's old enough as it is. Like I said, I would like to see Avril franchised and traded and Tulloch locked up long-term. Before any of that happens, they have to keep Calvin in Detroit. They just have to. There is no other option.
Pettigrew and Young are already in the process of "breaking out," so to speak, but they do have tight end and wide receiver depth.

Are you referring to Mike Wallace?
