i dont think all those teams are necessarily boring, i just dont like expansion teams in the super bowl.... theyre uniforms look like an arena football team...

Just because it was watched doesn't mean people liked the matchup or cared it's become as a holiday and a reason for people to gather and party.

With the dust now settled on Madonna's eye-popping halftime extravaganza, it's time to start thinking of the possible artists who will take the biggest stage in the world next February, when the Super Bowl invades New Orleans.

With the Black Eyed Peas and Madonna taking the reins for the past two halftime shows, the Super Bowl has returned to embracing pop music after six straight years of veteran rock acts like Bruce Springsteen, the Rolling Stones and the Who. With pop back in vogue, will Beyonce or Lady Gaga make their Super Bowl debuts? Will hip-hop make its grand entrance in New Orleans -- possibly with Lil Wayne leading the way? Or will rock make its comeback with the help of a contemporary act like the Foo Fighters or Coldplay?

Billboard.com offers up 10 suggestions for next year's Super Bowl halftime spectacle. Vote for your favorite candidate at the bottom of the page, or make your case for an unnamed artist in the comments section below.

    Beyonce

Queen B always puts on a pitch-perfect show, and she's got four solo albums full of hits. You thought LMFAO, Nicki Minaj and M.I.A. were cool guest stars this year? Wait until Beyonce brings out Kelly and Michelle for a Super Bowl Destiny's Child reunion. We can dream, right?

    Lady Gaga

Mother Monster is another obvious choice following the success of Madonna's over-the-top pop spectacle this year. If she was carried to her Grammy performance in an egg last year, maybe Gaga will bust out of a football-shaped incubation pod for the Super Bowl!

    Rihanna

"We found love on a football field," perhaps? Rihanna will likely have put out three more albums by the time Super Bowl XLVII rolls around, and she already has a spectacular string of hits.

    Justin Bieber

The Biebs could lead a youth movement at the Super Bowl, with other underage artists like Miley Cyrus, Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato also in the running. With his new album, "Believe," expected to drop this year, could a Super performance solidify teen singer's superstar power?

    Britney Spears

Although she was featured in the 2001 Super Bowl halftime festivities alongside 'N Sync, Aerosmith, Mary J. Blige and Nelly, Britney has certainly earned the right to headline the big show. Is 2013 the Year of the Spears?

    Lil Wayne

With the Super Bowl heading to New Orleans next year, who better than Weezy F. Baby to prove that he is, indeed, not a human being in front of the world's biggest crowd? All we ask is no "Rebirth" stuff, Wayne.

    Taylor Swift

There's never been a country music performer headlining the Super Bowl halftime show. Could mega-star Taylor Swift be the first one to do so, a little after her 23rd birthday? Will the follow-up to "Speak Now" be ready by then?

    Coldplay

Chris Martin and company certainly have the stadium sound down pat, and could follow in the footsteps of overseas acts like U2 and The Who by playing America's biggest sporting event. Sounds like "Paradise" to us. (Sorry.)

    Foo Fighters

The hard rockers have headlined countless U.S. festivals, scored their first No. 1 album last year with "Wasting Light" and might be Grammy darlings come Sunday night. "Born To Fly" would sound pretty awesome from midfield.

    Skrillex

Dubstep's Great White Hope could turn the Super Bowl halftime show into a 12-minute rave. Bass drops after dropped passes? Sounds like a plan.

Foo fighters and metallica should get to do it once and not lip sync

Out of those, FF. I'l be there, so I want it to be somewhat decent. I'm still shocked we haven't seen AC/DC yet.
