You know they got a new owner, president, and general manager last year, right? And the vast majority of Quinn's moves last year worked out. No one understood the Bademosi signing last year but the Lions vastly improved on special teams with him on it. Tavon Wilson and Rafael Bush weren't exciting signings but they turned out to be valuable pieces. And of course Boldin was a great pickup later. That doesn't even cover the good draft they had.
I mean we have had to plug some holes with terrible guys like asa jackson just for bodies but quinn had a good first draft and most of his moves have worked.
The Worrilow signing might not work, but again, one-year deal and we're assuming they will get more linebackers. It's just a bad example to cherry pick.
So you got a stud qb that has problems with protection. Why are you signing a lineman that's better at run blocking? I guess I could be wrong. I don't watch the team with any regularity enough to really know what makes them tick. From the outside looking in, what they're doing looks kinda odd. Even with Blount. Dude got run out of Pittsburgh in the middle of the season a couple of years ago. His stints with Tampa and Tennessee were unremarkable as well. We all know how his college career ended. He just seems to need the Patriots clubhouse atmosphere to stay focused. The Lions don't have that

Where are you seeing that Wagner is better at run blocking? He graded out as a better pass protector. Either way, he's better than who we had and durable. I don't see how that's a bad move considering it's a shallow draft for offensive linemen. I haven't seen any credible source linking the Lions to Blount, media list Detroit as a possibility for every Patriot free agent because Quinn used to work there. Even if we did sign him, he'd have a limited role as an upgrade over Zenner and we will assuredly draft a running back regardless. Quinn wants to focus on the middle of the roster to add depth, and given how many injuries we suffered last year, that concern is not unfounded.
I don't understand tge Tony Romo hype at all. He's played 4 games in the last 2 years. In the 10 years he's been a starter, he's only managed to play 16 games 4 times. He will be 37 next month and he has 1 career playoff win. NFL.com has him as the #1 free agent on the market. What am I missing?
Everything you stated is pretty factual. He's old as hell and almost as made of glass as Stafford by now. But he is a hell of slinger when he is on. I think he has more in the tank than the super bowl winning broncos Peyton Manning but definitely not as much obliterated super bowl Manning. Texans and Broncos could both be serious threats for 1-2 seasons with him.
Awwwww duude, I just read that we lost Barry Church. I fucking love that Toledo alumni. I really thought about grabbing a custom jersey in his name. Bummer. Tyron Smith jersey it is.
I would find it obscene for them to pay 15mil to keep him. Dude was awesome but he is getting old. I'm not him and I'm not in his position but I would think you would rather take less money and be on a contending team. Had he left the Bengals for the patriots I'd say hey that makes sense good luck but the rams, really? Oo well not for me to worry about
You tryin to be a hero fool? You wanna see badass mother fucker?! I'll show ya a badass!!!
