I hope he does it. Dude came from dirt. His mom was a crackhead slut that would fuck dudes in front of him when he was a kid. If he can make it back they'll make a movie about him
His performance against USC in that Rose Bowl was incredible. Hadn't seen anything like that since until Deshaun Watson went nuclear against Alabama two years in a row.
Heard a great interview with T. Owens yesterday. He was on The Mike Francesa show bitching about being snubbed for the HOF. Dudes numbers should make him a first ballot HOF'er but they are passing on him for now because of his actions off the field...That's bullshit
I get into debates about this sort of thing in baseball discussion a lot because I don't think the roiders have a spot. It's the Hall of Fame, not the Hall of Numbers. TO could play for a few years, but he was such a headache and distraction that he was many times a detriment to his team. For as awesome as it was for him to come back from his broken leg to play in the 05 super bowl, he completely torpedoed their next season wanting a new contract one year into the one he already had. The Eagles went like 6-10 the next year with him being a circus sideshow act until they cut him. There's a reason he was out of the league while he was physically still able to play at a decent level. He made a lot of coaches and GMs look bad for having faith in him and paying him well. And honestly, he was never the best wide receiver of his generation. Randy Moss was. Randy just suffered from the same ego and character issues that TO, Keyshawn Johnson and Ocho Cinco (among others) all had. That's prolly gonna make it a tough sell for all of them. It doesn't bother me at all that Owens is at least having to wait a little while to be honored. Matter of fact, his antics right now are a good example of why it's happening. Many talented players had to wait their turns and never rattled any cages about it. You're old enough to remember how great Kenny Easley was and he had to wait til this year to get in. The only problem I see is how they're putting someone like Jason Taylor in that was good, but not great, but Taylor never embarrassed his team
they are passing him ip for being a shitty teammate on the field. This is purely football related. If it wasnt LT and a lot of guys with shitty character wouldnt be in. Regardless TO is a top 10 receiver all time and should be in. Its pretty much a formality he will get in eventually doe.
Satan jason taylor had 139.5 sacks. Wtf are you talking abput him mot being a good but not great player?
Anthony Rizzo is a good baseball player, Miguel Cabrera is a great one. It's like that. I don't think there was a moment of his career where Taylor was the most feared linebacker in the game. TO could prolly say that about himself. From about '02-'06 it was hard to argue that he was the most dangerous receiver in the NFL. It gives credence to his candidacy
dude taylor is 7th on the all times sacks list lol. Thats like saying Erik Dickerson was a good but not great RB or that ED reed was a pretty good but not great saftey lol.
