Barry didn't retire cause he didn't want to play for the lions though. He's said many times he had no desire to play elsewhere. He just lost his fire to play the game because of all the losing.
That's what he said, that's not what I believe. If he was on the cowboys team with their Offensive line - He would have played much much longer. He saw the writing on the wall... Detroit wasnt getting there, might as well quit while he is ahead.
Peterson has no leverage at all. He'll play out the year and get his $12 million. He's at the age where running backs go downhill so he'll want to earn one more nice contract.

Agree. People won't be very interested in paying him $10M+ after he has 2 years out of the league and his kid still has bruises.
Yeah well no one gives a fuck about your opinion you faggot.
remember when Andre johnson number one landing spot was seattle?
I never said that Johnsons number one landing spot was seattle. I just said his brother mentioned 4 possible locations, and he mentioned seattle first. That doesnt mean Seattle was first.... I was just a homer fan hoping for another positive receiving core addition.

So the cowboys have restructured Romo's contract freeing up 12.8Million of cap space for next year. That's an odd thing to do huh considering all the big name FA are gone, including losing their star RB....
In completely unrelated news, Peterson is apparently set to make 12.75 Million next year, and has stated he will not play in Minn again.
I really hope we don't go for him. In don't see why we would, before restructuring we had a little over 1 mil. after the restrictions we signed some dude from over seas and resigned Rolando. Plus, there's no guarantee what you get with AP. It's not like Romo took a pay cut, we're just going to be hit harder the next couple years. I'd rather go in the draft.

He gave the best 10 years any running back has ever given to the game. I think he deserves to leave when he wants.
they only thing i didn't like is that he did it just before training camp and not right after the season.
