I didnt act like I had any inside information. All I said was a read some article on ESPN that was talking about that. You're making it sound like no way AP leaves Minn, and im just saying there are lots of people talking about how he is done playing there.
So now they got Marshall and Harvin. No way they keep Geno Smith. You know they're about to draft Mariota if they can.
He's not going to be on the board. They are going to go 1 & 2
Tennessee isn't going to take Mariota. Not a Whisenhunt-style quarterback. I don't think he falls past New York, though. Either the Jets take him and keep him or trade the pick to Philly for a king's ransom.
No but someone willing to take him will trade up. About 5 teams need QB's and their is a consensus that these guys are head and shoulders above the other guys.
That's what the legal tampering period is for. If Monday comes and he's not re-signed I assume he's gone. They'll know by then what overs the other teams have on the table.
Jets are probably the last team I'd want to play for if I was a player. Mostly because of the dysfunction of the organization. Seems like they are more into making tabloid type news media then they are about winning games.
Todd Bowles is the man though. Hope he does well there. If Rex and Bowles can't get a team properly run in that organization, then no one can.
I just had an 'oh shit' moment thinking about FA's or trades that could possibly happen. Perhaps this isnt a possibility (Im not seeing it anywhere else), however it's no secret that Peterson is pretty sour on Minnesota.... What if he somehow landed in Indy. can you imagine?
Part of me sort of understands, though. That team probably feels like they are an inside pass rush away from being able to compete with NE. Suh is a hell of a way to get that done.
