How would it be surprising? Every team in the playoffs aside from carolina has the ability to go all the way, thats why they are here.
Why would I be surprised if Detroit beats Dallas? Because Dallas looks like they are on fire, and Detroit doesn't plus the ban of Suh which is now reversed. When I made the comment though I was considering Suh wasn't playing and that's a big loss for the team. With Suh, Detroit has a better chance of winning.
I also disagree with your second sentence. I would say every team aside from Carolina and Arizona has the ability to go all the way. Carolina you gave me, but Arizona is equally deserving of that title with as many key players they have on IR. And Im not just talking about their QB and backup QB being injurred so that that Lindley is playing once again. There is also John Abraham, DT Dockett, Andre Ellington.. Maybe even Fitzgerald. So here we are with a team who has major issues with their pass offense, and has the second worst run game in the league (only Oakland is worst), and you think they have a chance of winning? Delusional if so. The only chance Arizona had of winning a playoff game is was being matched up against someone like Carolina. ) Does Arizona have a awesome Def? Yes. One of the best in the leagues... but their injury problems on offense prevents them from having any chance of advancing (except against maybe Carolina, and probably not even them). If Arizona was healthy, I wouldnt be saying this. They also would have been 15-1 or something.
Carolina is back to playing the way they were last year, when they won 12 games. If Newton stays healthy, they're dangerous. Don't let their record fool you.

I think Carolina will probably beat Arizona. That said, I have no faith in Newton or that team getting it done more than 1 playoff win. My level of concern that either Arizona or Carolina could win in Seattle? 0. And I am not just being a homer fan - I'll admit that Dallas, GB, and Detroit give me some considerable amount of concern. Any of those three teams could win in Seattle. Dallas already knows how to do that in fact. GB doesn't, but it's the playoffs and they are good. Tate will tear it up if Detroit plays Seattle.
If our defense plays its best we could beat anyone, but that also depends on te offense not Turing it over. All I care about is dallas right now. It's time they won a playoff game I can remember.
