Watching Champ in training camp into the preseason was actually kinda sad. He just didn't have it.

He hasn't had it since the Ravens playoff loss 2 seasons ago. Which is weird because that year during the regular season he seemed fine.

Yup. Probably could have gotten him too back when he was elite. Ky Matt Millen. 

I'd take a flyer on him after this week. He'd be serviceable if healthy.

He's older than I am trying to play a speed position. Not a good combo. At best they should put him in during passing situations as an Ed Reed-style ball hawk safety.

Nothing wrong with signing him to a contract that's not guaranteed to see what he's got. Secondary depth is an issue.
