our line will be better this year if its healthy...not great but better....what good is an offence if the d give up 35 points a game?

We have a more costly investment on offense....if they don't protect him, they risk having to take another one in 5 years....

Rex, your main priority is to protect the QB right now. If yall don't save his ass then your team will never ever win anything. Yes D is key, but your QB is one of the most important person on your team. Get a strong o-line first then work your way through defense and so on.

Three priorities for a team in the dumps.

    1. High quality quarterback
    2. High quality left tackle
    3. High quality pass rusher.

Three priorities for the Denver Broncos:

    1. Discover time travel
    1. Build time machine
    2. Use said time machine to change the past and never hire Josh McDaniels.

When you're as in the dumps as the Lions are, you aren't thinking championship for at least 5 years.

Why you have to be a downer wine. Let the man have his pre season dreams. It's all he's got.

I've made it known that I like the future of the Lions. But when he says that they need to revamp the secondary when Stafford's has no line and will be sacked all year, that's bad.

    but really... Chargers need:

    1. a NEW FUCKING COACH!
    1. Vincent Jackson to stop being a retard and keep is level up.
    2. a proper FB (the biggest reason why LT's # declined)
    3. reliable safeties

Once you win playoff games, I'll consider the franchise a real success. It's hard, because the team is so good, but can't do shit in the postseason.

the lions were sacked 9th most last year....well thats not great it could be transfered for us to be right around the middle of the pack this year.....problem is were always passing cause were always down on the scoreboard.........we have had the worst secondary and defense in the league for 3 straight years....number one is secondary and i can guarantee schwartz is thinking the same thing....that not to diminish our needs on the o line...they are high....but we filled our biggest need at guard getting chris simms.....if hes healthy i expect our line to be decent

the biggest reason his numbers declined is cause hes old and lost a step...couldn't hit the holes like he used to last year it was clear

that was a secondary reason... his age/wear & tear never allowed him to fully recover from his (many) injuries.

but the biggest reason was the fullback situation... after Lorenzo Neal was let go (still blows my mind). All we had was Tolbert... a pretty big dude who couldn't lead block to save his mama's life.

and Hester.... a pretty good, smart, lead blocker... but who's about the same size as LT.

There was another guy before tolbert who was backup to Neal... but he sucked balls too.

LT would have had the same year with or withour neal IMO....hes just got to much wear and tare
  • StratophonyStratophony Posts: 9,212 just the tip
yea... from having a lousy lead blocker.

He (Neal) left 3 years ago... when LT started having trouble reaching 100 yards per game. and when his injuries started.

He was considered the best FB in the league for the longest time, for a reason.
